JOHN A. BONYA B.A. 1970, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; J.D. 1973, University of Pittsburgh School of Law. John has broad experience in natural resources (coal, gas and oil), real property and environmental law and is active in our firm's business and commercial transactions practice. He is listed in the current edition of "The Best Lawyers in America." John is a past President of the Indiana County Bar Association and is the Chairman of the Indiana County Republican Committee.

 

BEVERLY A. GAZZA B.A. (magna cum laude) 1970, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; J.D. (cum laude) 1973, law review editor, University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Beverly handles much of our appellate, commercial and estate planning work. She began her legal career in Pittsburgh and practiced there for five years with a major commercial firm.

 

STANLEY P. DEGORY B.A. 1974, University of Pennsylvania; J.D. (cum laude) 1981, law review editor, University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  Stan advises closely-held businesses and other corporations and is primarily involved in business matters and civil litigation. He began his legal career in Pittsburgh and practiced there for five years with a business and tax firm.

 

NICHOLAS J. MIKESIC B.A. 1968, Bucknell University; J.D. 1971, University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Nick has extensive experience and practices in all areas of family and matrimonial law. He is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Indiana County, the Pennsylvania, and the American Bar Associations. Before coming to Indiana, Nick practiced on his own for eighteen years in neighboring Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

 

DAVID M. ZIMMERMAN B.S. 1984, Pennsylvania State University; J.D. 1991, University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Before attending law school, David worked as an aerospace engineer in the Washington D.C. area. He is primarily involved in our litigation, business and real estate practices and has been with the firm since graduating from law school.
Melissa M. McCoy B.A. (magna cum laude) 2000, University of Pittsburgh; J.D. (magna cum laude) 2004, law review executive editor, University of Pittsburgh School of Law; M.P.A. (magna cum laude) 2004, University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Melissa advises clients and handles litigation in a broad range of areas, including employment matters and business and commercial disputes. Melissa also has considerable experience with family law matters and appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Melissa practiced law for five years at a large commercial firm in Pittsburgh.
